Sylvan Learning to Open a New Location Each Week Through the End of 2020

Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the education franchise is expanding to meet the need for e-learning support.

BALTIMORE (PRWEB) November 23, 2020 - Leading supplemental and enrichment education franchise Sylvan Learning is experiencing a critical growth year. In spite of a difficult economy, the brand is experiencing high demand amid the COVID-19 pandemic. With schools across the country shifting classes to e-learning at home, parents are looking for some relief from working double-time. Sylvan Learning provides services where students can gain additional help with difficult concepts they’re learning from professional tutors. The Sylvan development team is seeing record numbers of interested franchising candidates as this trend continues.

“I’m really proud of the work we’ve been able to do this year as a franchise,” said CEO of Sylvan Learning, John McAuliffe. “Our services are proving invaluable to parents across the country as they try to navigate the COVID-19 landscape at home. We are doing everything we can to ensure students are receiving the best education through our services, and I think franchisee prospects are recognizing that effort.”

As the leading provider of personal learning for students in grades K-12, the Sylvan Learning leadership team has continued to innovate new ways to enhance student learning and assist parents throughout the pandemic. The education brand announced in August the launch of School Support, a program that provides a variety of services to help children stay on track and assist parents in managing the complexities of this school year. The program provides socially distanced, in-person support as teachers ensure that students are logged into their classes and completing their assignments in a healthy, safe environment.

Sylvan Learning’s leadership team has also made conscious efforts to support franchisees in these uncertain times, one such effort being the announcement of a $2.5 million royalty and fee deferral program in conjunction with the brand’s majority owners. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Sylvan Learning franchisees nationwide have pivoted their business delivery to be online in addition to daytime support, both new to the brand. The royalty and fee deferral program ensures that franchise owners have the support they need to continue providing solutions to families in need of educational help.

“Supporting our franchisees is, and has always been, a priority,” said McAullife. “We can’t do what we do best if our franchisees lack the tools they need to be successful. It’s our job to ensure that students can learn and grow in any environment, and what we’ve been able to accomplish in the past few months against the odds is incredible.”

With the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, Sylvan’s leadership is doing everything they can to provide students the best chance at excelling in their studies, and prospective franchisees will play a key role in driving that effort. Entrepreneurs who wish to open their own Sylvan are encouraged to consider how they see themselves growing with the brand, now and beyond the pandemic.

“We’re obviously in a critical time as a country, and there are so many people out there looking to help in any way they can,” said McAulliffe. “Anyone who truly wants to have an impact on their community should consider joining the brand. Education will continue to matter beyond the pandemic, and we’re trying our best to assist in fostering a fruitful learning environment.”
