Miami-based Popeyes is launching it's first rewards program, based on the idea of returning "the love" to its customers via deals, experiences, swag and points, according to a news release.

To celebrate the Popeyes Rewards launch, the brand is introducing a special "Welcome To The Popeyes Fam" Meal available just for members on the Popeyes App or online. The meal has eight pieces of bone-in chicken, a large side and four biscuits. Rewards members who buy one from now through July 1 will receive 500 bonus points.

Customers joining the rewards program also receive 10 points for every dollar spent online or on the app, as well as "happy hour" with $1 regular-size sides, bonus points on combos and family meals, extra rewards with personalized challenges and more.

"We have been humbled to see our fans express their loyalty for our brand time and time again," Popeyes CMO Bruno Cardinali said in the release. "Our goal has been to create a perfect loyalty program that matches and rewards their unparalleled enthusiasm."

The brand, which was founded in New Orleans in 1972, now has more than 3,300 restaurants worldwide.
